Kevin’s first baseball game

Filed under: My Word... — bbluesman @ 2:42 pm

Went to Sinon Bulls vs. Uni-President Lions game last night with Kevin and Tim. Lot of fun. Highest scoring baseball game I’ve ever been to-165-6 Lions won. Taiwanese baseball fans are great. They all bring hollow plastic tubes to bang and wave around in unison which makes for great visuals and good noise. Coming from US baseball tradition we seem pretty staid by comparison. Pleasantly surprised to find out that they don’t gouge you on prices at the stadioum. Bleacher seats an affordable-US$3.

So what does this picture have to do with this? Nothing-just a cool picture from Poagao of the Taipei train Station-very otherworldly.

Log of the project which turned a public tall building in eastern Berlin into computer screen with games of pong via cellphone, love letters, and movies.

What does that have to do with the price of tea in China?

Filed under: Uncategorized — bbluesman @ 3:26 pm

I still have a faint impression of my grandmother’s voice asking me that question. Interestingly, according to NY Times article-China is now exporting more tea than it consumes.

Lenny has performed a real labor of love-producing an online comic book of thousands of themed images from annual Burning Man village at Black Rock. It’s literally awesome- overwhelming in a good way. Next best thing to being there.
